The operator of Narita Airport, outside Tokyo, suspects its website has been hit by a cyber-attack. The site has suffered intermittent disruption.
Officials at the airport say access to the site has been disrupted since Friday evening.
Officials say the site temporarily experienced heavier traffic than normal.
They say the problem was affecting only the website and has not impacted flight operations.
The website experienced similar problems in October, when it became difficult to access for about 8 hours.
A person claiming to be a member of the international hacker group Anonymous posted a message on Twitter suggesting a possible cyber-attack.
